SMOKE DETECTOR INSTALLATION | ELECTRICIAN PERTH

  • INSTALL HARD WIRED SMOKE DETECTOR ALARMS PERTH

ELECTRICAL SERVICES - SMOKE DETECTORS

The Australian public health and safety laws mandate that all households should have 240 volt hard wired smoke detectors installed. All hard wired smoke alarms need to be installed by a licensed electrician as it needs to be connected to the main power source.

The DFES recommend photoelectric smoke alarms as they consistently provide sufficient time for occupants to escape from smouldering and flaming fires provided the alarms are installed and maintained properly and occupants hear them.

All smoke alarms need to be replaced every 10 years according to Regulation 60(2)(b) even if they are hard wired (mains powered) and still in working order.

Our licensed electricians at Debray Electrics can advise on placement, type and the number of smoke detectors required for your household.

For further information on Smoke Detectors, contact Ray on 0414 305 244 or request a quote for a smoke alarm installation below.
